DESIGN.ART FOR CHARITY: a charity event of a special kind.

Organized by 100% CONNECTED for the artist Maren M. Art and Smow Freiburg for the benefit of the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V. Freiburg.

Maren M. Art invited to her big vernissage directly at the Augustinerplatz in Freiburg and transformed together with Smow Freiburg a vacant "concrete space" into a fantastic interplay of designer exhibitors such as Walter Knoll, USM, Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen, Vitra, Magis, Northern and Lintex and unique art. 

Moderator Julica Goldschmidt charmingly accompanied the event and also led through the highlight of the evening: a work of art by Maren M. Art was auctioned off for the benefit of the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e. V. (Support Association for Children with Cancer). Mrs. Manuela Bitsch, member of the board of the Förderverein, saw in the picture the special energy which especially the parents of the affected children need in this difficult time. And so the picture was successfully auctioned off: Mrs. Ulrike Schindler bid 2,000€ and won the bid. The emotional moment of the evening: Mrs. Schindler did not keep the auctioned picture for herself, but donated it as a symbol to the new parents' house next to the Freiburg Children's Hospital.

A total of 3,500€ in donations was collected that evening.

"We are very happy about the fantastic gesture and this great amount!" thanks board member Manuela Bitsch. "It's impressive what has been set up here and a really big help for the Förderverein. After all, our new parents' house has to be financed 100% by donations."
