ABOUT | Gloria Sophie Burkandt

Excited to be at the Munich Security Conference @munsecconf .

What I value most about being here, especially as part of the younger generation, is that these conversations are not abstract. They shape the world we will inherit.

As someone who deeply believes in a peaceful, stable future, I think it’s essential that young voices are present in rooms where security, diplomacy, technology, and global responsibility are discussed. Peace is not something that happens by accident..it is built through dialogue, courage, and long-term thinking. For my generation, security is not just about defense. It’s about climate stability, digital ethics, economic fairness, and human dignity. Being here reminds me that our future depends on how seriously we take these discussions today.

Grateful to listen, to learn and to stand for a future defined by peace, not conflict.❤️
Being at the @worldeconomicforum and listening to the conversations around AI and the future of Europe was deeply moving for me. These were not abstract debates about technology, but honest reflections on responsibility, values, and the kind of world we are creating.

What stayed with me most was the thought of Generation Alpha — and one day, my own future children. They will grow up in a reality where artificial intelligence is not a novelty, but a constant presence. Technology will shape how they learn, communicate, and understand the world. That excites me, but it also makes me reflect on what truly matters.

This new time age offers endless possibilities, yet it also demands clarity and courage. In Davos, I felt a shared awareness that progress alone is not enough. Without ethics, empathy, and human judgment, innovation loses its purpose. Education must teach children not only how to use technology, but how to think independently, feel deeply, and remain human in an increasingly digital world.

When I imagine my future children, I hope they grow up in world that protects curiosity, freedom, and compassion. A world that leads with responsibility and values, and that understands that the future is not just built by algorithms — it is shaped by people, choices, and the love we pass on to the next generation.
Turning 27 next week has made me reflect my path and what truly matters, and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: always invest in your education…whatever form it takes. Challenge your mind, push your curiosity, dive into research, study deeply, explore widely, and allow yourself to become fascinated by something. Find a subject or field that lights you up, because when you focus on developing your intellect and taking care of your inner world, you grow into a kind of beauty that no trend or external standard can define.

A small reminder to the younger generation: never stop learning. Protect your energy and spend your time wisely. Choose experiences and people that nurture you, inspire you, and help you grow. You don’t need to chase every party or distraction…prioritize the things that enrich your life and help you become the person you want to be.

Do the essential things. Cultivate your mind. Take care of yourself. Build a life that feels meaningful from the inside out.❤️

Happy International Women’s Day.❤️

The world needs strong, eloquent women..women who are curious about the world and unafraid to engage with it. Women who read history, explore culture, understand science, appreciate art, follow politics, enjoy sports, and question the future of technology. True power comes from knowledge. A trained mind, an open perspective, and the courage to think independently are among the most powerful forces in society.

When women cultivate their intellect…when they study mathematics, understand technology, debate ideas, appreciate culture, and remain curious about the world…they become builders of the future. They inspire generations, challenge outdated structures, and bring depth, empathy, and wisdom into leadership.

A brilliant mind is the most elegant form of strength.

The future needs women who are thoughtful, informed, curious, and fearless in their ideas. Because the true power of a woman is not only her voice it is her mind.❤️

Happy Women’s Day to all women who continue to learn, question, and shape the world.

What I’m trying to tell people is this:
Don’t be afraid of the future.

Yes, the age of AI is unpredictable but in many ways, it’s also predictable. Every new era in history has felt overwhelming at the beginning. What we are experiencing now is simply the start of a new chapter.

Instead of fearing it, we should feel excited and fascinated to witness such transformation. We are living in the middle of a historic shift.

The younger generation is already trained for change. Think about it: kindergarten, elementary school, high school, university, first job constant new environments, constant adaptation. Change is not foreign to us. It’s something we’ve grown up with.
